International Migratory Bird Day at the Big Bear Discovery Center
Fawnskin, CA . . . The Big Bear Discovery Center is celebrating Migratory Bird Day from 10am-2pm on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The Discovery Center will be holding several activities to celebrate our spring birds and educate visitors on conservation efforts to protect them. Activities include birdhouse building, bird crafts, nature walks, bird walks, and StoryTime. Find out what bird has the same wingspan as you!
“We love having visitors join us for a fun and educational day celebrating our feathered friends!” says Wendy Craig, Discovery Center Manager.
The Discovery Center is an educational and informational portal to the San Bernardino National Forest and is located within the heart of the Big Bear Valley. A visit to the Big Bear Discovery Center heightens awareness on how to become a more responsible steward of a national forest while increasing enjoyment and knowledge of California’s most visited forestland, the San Bernardino National Forest. Educational programs are offered weekly to visitors.
