Combining Forces to Support Big Bear’s Trails

    • trail group

The Big Bear Valley Trails Foundation  and Southern California Mountains Foundation  have been working in lockstep on non-motorized trail related projects in the Big Bear Valley for several years. Now, they seek to increase their capabilities and streamline support for trails in the Big Bear Valley by joining forces.  The public is encouraged to attend an official ceremony at the Big Bear Discovery Center, March 28, at 6:30pm - 7:30pm. “We invite everyone to attend and celebrate the marriage of our organizations and learn what’s in store for the upcoming trail season” says Bennett Rossell, Trails Coordinator for the Southern California Mountains Foundation.  Light snacks and refreshments will be served.

Partnerships to support trails in the Big Bear Valley have never been stronger.  Please join us Wednesday, March 28th to learn more about what’s been happening to support trails, plans for the future and how to get involved!  Together, we  will also be introducing new volunteer opportunities to participate in. These new opportunities seek to complement the successful Adopt-A-Trail Program by addressing the needs of Big Bear’s multi-use trail system and provide stewardship opportunities to a new, broad base of volunteers.  If you are interested in helping the forest, meeting new people, and contributing to Big Bear’s trails-focused culture, we invite you to attend and learn how to become a Trail Host or Trail Steward.

Please contact Bennett Rossell at  for further information.
