Lytle Creek Nursery Work

Invasive Plant Removal and Watering at the Lytle Creek Native Plant Nursery

Saturday, Sept. 21, 9AM - 12 PM meet Lytle Creek Ranger Station

Restoration - Forest Nursery

We will be watering the plants and weeding the ones we didn’t plant, keeping the nursery safe for the natives. Future projects will include planting and transplanting into bigger pots.

As part of a three year grant to restore off-highway vehicle (OHV) unauthorized trails, we are collecting locally sourced seed to restore sensitive habitat and grow them out in our native plant nursery. By growing and planting native plants from locally collected seeds, we protect native habitat, sensitive species, as well as unique cultural resources.

Join us for a fun and relaxing day out in the forest nursery. This is an easy project that anyone can participate in. Bring your friends and family.

No training needed. Families welcome. Bring lunch, water, and sun protection. No services nearby.
