Nature Walk

Join us for a 45 minute walk to learn about the local plant life, wildlife, and some very interesting historical facts. This is a great activity for families and individuals who want to gain a greater appreciation of our National Forest. Nature walks are not strenuous and designed for all levels of physical conditioning. Free!

Night Hike

Join a Discovery Center Naturalist to explore how the forest changes as the sun goes down. Meet at Serrano campground kiosk at 7:00pm. Hikes are not strenuous and designed for all skill levels. Free!

On the Right Trail

On the Right Trail teaches children how to use trails safely and responsibly, whether off roading with family or hiking. Kids will steer their radio controlled car on a dirt trail with obstacles, learning trail ethics. Free!

Evening Program

Join the Discovery Center and the Big Bear Valley Astronomical Society for an educational and entertaining evening program to teach visitors about the San Bernardino National Forest night sky.  Sponsored by California Land Management. Suggested donation $5. Your donations help keep our programs free!
